I had originally thought that Finn would wear his elf outfit again to help hand out Christmas presents this year, but I just didn’t have the heart to change him out of his cute Christmas PJ’s. But I did at least get a video of him wearing it before Christmas. This makes me laugh because daddy got home just in time to see his little elf. imagine walking in the door and seeing this! hahahaha

Big Boy Bed
I had mentioned, but I hadn’t taken any pictures yet. We took off the front of his crib, bought a toddler pillow, a blanket and matching lion pillow and then I just made a pillow case for the toddler pillow and for one of the body pillows that he loves to play with and sometimes sleep with!

Christmas
Christmas is just so much FUN with the little ones. Finn was only 5 months old at his first Christmas, but last year he totally got it. I wasn’t sure how it would be with Riley being 10.5 months old, but he totally played with every new toy that we unwrapped. So much FUN was had. So many blessings we have!
Big Boy Bike and easel all set up for the morning.
And since the boys wake up at the crack of dawn, we got to “open” a few things before the entire gang came over for the day!
Finn’s reaction on camera!
Riley in his 1st Christmas PJ’s
Opening his first present from Santa
Riley digging on Finn’s bike
Finally it was light enough outside for Finn to take a ride on his new bike, unfortunately he sped away before I could turn the flash on the camera, so all I got is this dark picture, but I have to include it for historical purposes!
Opening Stockings
Despite the look on Finn’s face in this picture, this is his new favorite toy!
And this is Riley’s: baby basketball from Aunt Stephanie and Uncle John who are ‘only’ asking 10% commission on his future sports career, you know, since they’re invested now!
Finn got some golf clubs from papa!
Some family photos

Post Present Walk/Bike Ride
This picture cracks me up. Finn is his PJs and helmet and daddy in his socks and sandals carrying Finn’s bike walking all Pulp Fiction style through the graveyard.
And this picture….everything is in focus except Riley is waving his arms around so fast because he is so excited and they are just a blur!
Riley’s first ice cream
Merry Christmas Y’all!
Texas BBQ
Uncle John is from Texas, and in case you weren’t aware, food is very important to Texans (it is amazing that I am not from Texas as I would fit right in!). In my meal planning preparations for the week I got a brilliant idea…..we must take Uncle John to one of our FAVORITE BBQ places in the ATL….Fox Brothers BBQ. Serious Deliciousness!
Family Photo
Before and After – I see two thumbs up!
And another sticker for Riley, his third for the day!
Cruising!
He’s been cruising around the furniture and finally started pushing around the grocery cart and this other little walker/ride on thing. I’ve also got a video of him wiping out, that I won’t share, I swear I didn’t laugh. ;)
What’ll Ya Have?!!!
It is no secret that the Lakes love The Varsity. It has become a bit of a tradition to have lunch at The Varsity after church on Sundays. So after baptizing Riley and riding the Pink Pig, we went to lunch at The Varsity. Turns out this was the first time that Uncle John and Aunt Stephanie had eaten there. In fact, one of Uncle John’s co-workers had told him to go there before he came to visit! Check that off the list!
And we walked in to a bunch of clowns eating lunch. No really!
And they even gave Riley a little sticker “I Met A Clown Today”. He was really excited about it. LOL
Baptism
Well we finally baptized Riley the weekend before Christmas at 10.5 months old! Can I tell you, it is difficult to find a baptismal outfit in 18 month size. Aunt Stephanie and Uncle John were Riley’s Godparents and the whole family came to town for the event and stayed through Christmas!
So, we get to church, change Riley into his little outfit, walk up to the front and hand Riley over to the minister. He was good, he didn’t even seem to notice anything strange was going on. Afterwards, the minister handed him back to me and he said “He did a good job….and he’s a BIG guy!” I laughed out loud! I mean yes he is big, but it was absolutely hilarious to me that he would say that during the service! HAHAHAHA I’m sure he’s also used to people bringing in their much smaller 3 month old babies. lol! There was a little hat that went with his outfit, but it was a lil big and he HATED it.
