Finn and Riley climbed all the way to the top of Stone Mountain for the first time! And Kellen climbed about 2/3 of the way up all by himself, and almost without stopping, he was kind of unstoppable, it was pretty amazing!

So the thing that kept Kellen running up to the top….PUDDLES! They were everywhere along the way up, but the top of the mountain had the best ones!!!

This was quite possibly one of the busiest weekends....Finn's last basketball game, monster trucks at Lowe's, register Finn for golf, handyman to come to get started on projects and the Oakhurst Wine Stroll! Phew! Lowe’s has these workshops for kids once a month and they are doing a series of monster truck ones. Not knowing at all what was in store, we went, well things worked out that I took Riley…

We took Finn and Kellen’s kits home for them to work on.
Finn didn’t have school the Monday after we got back from the beach and I’ve had this idea for a field trip for a while now and while it was a slightly daunting trip, I just knew we had to give it a try! I didn’t tell the boys what we were doing until we were doing each step…
First up, ride the MARTA! Which we literally could have just done all day long and they would have been happy!
Next up, ride some really huge escalators! Okay, that wasn’t really part of my plan, but again, they were a HUGE hit! Finn said it was the worlds biggest escalator!
Boys, we’re going to the Westin!
We’re going to the very top of the Westin! The 72nd floor! Alllllll the way up there!
And we’re going to ride in the most awesome elevator ever!
And when we get to the top we’re going to run around and look at the entire city!
And then we’re going to ride back down the elevator…
and then back on the MARTA again!
Finn is totally going through a phase where he does not want to have his picture taken. If the camera wasn’t out he was smiling and having FUN, I swear!
Valentine’s Day was also while we were at the beach. I’m really bummed that I forgot to take my heart shaped cookie (or pizza) cutters with me. I had to prepare the treats for the boys schools before we left for the beach….I decided to go back to one I had made a couple of years ago….
Oh how I love these boys! All three of them were so game to do these pictures!
Riley’s pre-school teacher is from New Orleans and is mad crazy about Mardi Gras. He has an amazing Mardi Gras party complete with parade for the kiddos every year, you may remember it from when Finn was there, super cute!
Unfortunately, Mardi Gras was while we were at the beach this year! Riley was SO bummed he was missing the parade and party at school. But he was able to still make his mask and his t-shirt….

And then we had our own parade at the beach again this year! We forgot to bring Riley’s shirt and mask, but thankfully he forgot about them! :)
And then we had desert!
On our way down to the beach, Kellen started losing his mind and started to undo his top buckles!!! So we pulled over, were adjusting the buckles and then Todd decided to just turn him around! Now the big man is forward facing and LOVING it!
I do not at all remember the story behind this picture, so I will just leave you with the cuteness!
We cannot forget that it is also Daddy’s birthday!
We went out to dinner on Friday night for Todd’s birthday and we gave him his presents then, a Braves shirt and tickets to a Ga Tech vs UVA basketball game!!!
Saturday morning I made them a special breakfast and we laid most of Riley’s presents out for him! He got a leap frog app card from grandma and papa, and then we got him a new scooter (since his was stolen recently) and a whole bunch of batman stuff (cape, mask, cup, stickers, little appliques for his crocs).
On your birthday you get to scooter in the house! ;)
The kicker was that we had two more presents we still needed to go buy him….a bike (because that was also stolen, boo) and some star wars things he kept asking for. All day he kept saying that he didn’t get any star wars things and he was very sad. After the party we let him open the presents he got from his friends and because we had finally acquired the star wars…
And then sheer joy! Do you see aunt tay tay’s face in the background? yeah, his reaction was just that priceless!
and then he wouldn’t let them out of his sight, hence grandma sitting here holding on to them while he opens another present. he is absolutely in love with these little star wars figures! he carries them everywhere, he sleeps with them, he talks about them all day long, he just LOVES them!
