My Finnegan is 4 years old! On one hand I can’t believe he is already 4, but on the other hand I feel like he is so much older than that. I think part of it is that he is so tall, so well spoken and so smart. But he is also so sweet, sensitive, caring and self-aware. He has really taken his role as big brother very seriously since Kellen was born and it is just amazing, sweet and heart-melting. This year he will start Pre-K, big boy, all day school!
:::sigh:::
And with birthdays come doctor visits! He was all checked out, weighed in and measured, had an eye and hearing exam. Everything was great! He’s gained 5 lbs and grown a little over 3 inches in a year!
Big boy on the way to the doctor, just me and him, listening to his favorite songs!
Waiting for the doctor!
And because I took a picture of him like this last year, I had to take another!
He got 3 shots and was super brave, barely cried at all! And he got some awesome stickers that he chose to wear on his legs!
Afterwards we went and grabbed a treat – giant cookies!
The week leading up to his birthday, every morning I would say “only 3 more days of 3 yr old Finnegan hugs” and I would say “I’m gonna miss 3 yr old Finn, but I can’t wait to meet 4 yr old Finn!”.
Happy Birthday Finn! You will always be my baby!
