We have been having some really amazing weather, and we had a rare Saturday morning with nothing to do, so we escaped to Sweetwater Creek State Park! It was a gloriously relaxing day. Originally I had thought I had a million things to do that day and for a split second thought about sending the boys on without me, but I knew I needed the breather. I am SO glad I went. It was good for my soul!
My boys!
Hard to see here, but Finn found a “writing stick” and sat down and wrote everyone’s name in the sand, this one say Riley!
Can you see Todd out there walking out on the thin layer of rock peaking through the water? Well not 2 seconds after I took this picture and put the camera away, Todd fell in the water in the most epic, preposterous, hysterical way ever and I may have peed my pants laughing so hard.
And I did manage this after shot. :)
But then Kellen was hell bent on going out where daddy went.
So on we moved to another location. Our littlest hiker on the loose!
He’s on a mission!
Never too old to want to sit in the backpack. Kellen says NO!
Intense apple eating!
Kellen had followed a path up a hill but decided to slide down the hill, through the trees, on his way back down. I have video too and it is too cute!
And once we got home and it was nap/quiet time, Todd and Finn sat down and watch the Purdue basketball game together. Finn is totally following along with the game now and Todd is LOVING explaining the game to him! (Side note, Finn has started practices for basketball, games start in January so you’ve got a little bit of time to anticipate that cuteness!)
