As a follow-up to the story we reported earlier about Racing Cars, we have an update……
Originally I took Riley to the doctor on Friday morning when he woke up and would not walk on his leg and was crying. She looked at it and said she didn’t think it was broken, but just to give him Motrin and try to have him “take it easy” and it should get better. We spent the whole weekend giving him Motrin and helping him around. He limped around all weekend, and he would still play, but he had troubles climbing and he would get tired/cranky after a while. By Sunday night I noticed there was just a huge knot on his leg and I just wasn’t feeling right. So when he woke up Monday morning still crying and limping around I decided to take him back to the doctor.
Of course when we got there and the doctor walked in he went back to his flirting self. Any time I would touch his leg he would cry. Any time she would touch his leg he would laugh and giggle and say “more tickle”. And what else did he do? Climbed right up the little steps to get onto the table. Are you kidding me? But she said she sees that all the time, and referred us to a pediatric orthopedist anyway (the same one we went to for Finn’s broken leg!).
They did an x-ray and the doctor called it a contusion. He said that he could tell there was new bone growing so that it possibly could have been a slight hairline fracture on Thursday/Friday but that it was healing. And that he felt that Riley should wear a boot to protect it while it heals for the next two weeks. So I give you, the worlds cutest, tiniest little boot ever!

LOL! @ the back-and-forth behavior. He is so funny. ;o) I hope all is well and his leg heals quickly. He is a cutie, that's for sure!
I hope he feels better soon. He sure looks adorable on those boots. Gotta trust mother's intuition.
