At the end of December, the 3 different Pre-K classes were exploring World Celebrations. Specifically, they were learning about Hanukkah, Kwanzaa and Chinese New Year. Finn’s class was focused on Kwanzaa and represented that holiday with a holiday celebration before Winter Break. Since they did that, they opted to have a New Year’s celebration after winter break, scheduled for February 3rd, which was a half day of school for parent-teacher conferences. Finn was SO excited that momma, daddy, Riley, Kellen AND Grandma and Papa were ALL able to come to the party! His class put on a little performance with a few songs (a Kwanzaa song, sign language song and lots of dancing) and we all had lunch together! It was a lot of FUN and a very special afternoon!
