EVERY.single.time I put Kellen down to play on his playmat he scoots himself over to his snap ‘n go and gnaws on the wheels. Every.time. I finally caught a little bit of it on camera, on two separate occasions, after I found him gnawing and his face was all dirty! (He is obviously not a first child as this doesn’t even really phase me as gross.)

Finn had his first game of the season last weekend. After going to the wrong field, repacking everyone back into the car and driving to the right field, we still didn’t miss any game time! The Rockets are awesome this year!

Yes, Finn is wearing his sunglasses and looked like a total badass!

A friend gave Todd some passes for the PGA Tour Championship which is in our neighborhood. Todd took Finn during naptime on Saturday and they walked with Vijay Singh and Gary Woodland, who eventually through a ball to Finn! At one point Finn shouted “Go DJ!” hahahahaha But he also got some shout outs from Vijay and felt really special! He now keeps talking about Vijay (though sometimes still calls him DJ) and how he wants to be a golfer. Lord help us. We don’t golf. Thankfully both of his grandpas do!
Have you seen those balance bikes? The ones that don’t have pedals and that teach kids how to ride bikes without training wheels really early? Scuut bikes! Well Todd came home from work the other day and said hey, lets go make a skuut bike and off they went about taking off the training wheels and pedals off one of our bikes!
Yes he is wearing crazy striped socks….I just bought them new shoes that day and they still get super crazy excited over new shoes, so he grabbed some crazy socks and headed out the door!
The boys have been a bit obsessed with robots lately. They love to walk around talking like robots “beepo beepo”, cracks me up. And then Finn came home from school the other day where he evidently learned the robot dance….hysterical. So we made some cereal box robots!
So just last Wednesday Kellen starting sitting up on his own. Less than a week later he is sitting himself up from laying down!
I put him down on the ground on his belly with his toys and walked out of the room getting the big boys ready for school. When I walked back into the room he was sitting up! I watched him do it one more time today. Next I’ll try to get it on video.
Can someone please make time stop?!?!?!
(It was Aunt Britt’s half-birthday too!)

Kellen did NOT like getting his shots this morning! Holy Moly! In the past they have barely phased him and he has barely made a peep. Today he started wailing at the first shot and was pretty inconsolable after she was done with all 4 (he also got the flu vaccine this morning). The doctor said he looks perfect!
At six months old he can sit up, roll from front to back and back to front, he’s eating 2 meals a day and so far loves everything we’ve given him with the exception of green beans, he has started talking more and loves to hear the sound of his voice (and I love to hear it too, it is so sweet), he’s SO SO SO happy the majority of the time, he’s sleeping through the night, he can scoot himself all around the floor and is starting to pick his legs up under himself like he’s going to start crawling soon (gasp!), he plays with his toys, he loves his brothers and laughs hysterically at them, he loves to nuzzle his face in my neck and will grab onto the sides of my face and give me big kisses.
And, per tradition, the 1/2 Birthday Cake! The “Bigs” are very excited about celebrating his half birthday! ;)
And the growth chart! Looks like he’s settling into the 75th percentiles. I was surprised to see the drop considering how much he has been eating, but he also wouldn’t eat solid foods for 3 weeks after he had the flu. Next visit is at 9 months!

He’s just SO silly!
Riley LOVES Baby Kellen, I mean LOOOOOOVES him! He’s so excited to see him, touch him, hug, kiss and hold him. He loves to get right in his face and loudly say “HI BABY KELLEN!!!”. He laughs at everything Baby Kellen does. He just loves this baby with all his heart!
