It might have been about a year ago when Grandma and Papa camp up with the idea that we should all come to their house for “Grandma and Papa Camp” in the summer! We typically only make it to their house in the winter for either Thanksgiving or Christmas which means we don’t ever get to enjoy the great outdoors. So Memorial Day weekend was chosen and the rest is history!
I mentioned before in my Thanksgiving post about how when grandma and papa built their house, that that holiday was exactly what they had in mind. I think we can also say now that Grandma & Papa camp tops the list!
Holli assigned everyone a role. She was the Camp Counselor, I was in charge of crafts, Todd was in charge of Games and Transportation, Uncle John was in charge of the camp fire, Grandma was the cook, Aunt Steph was in charge of songs and skits and Papa was the Nap Coordinator. I have soooo many pictures and videos from the weekend that I’m going to have to break it up into a few posts.
There was Camping, Games, Scavenger Hunt (sort of), Swimming, Fishing, S’mores, Bowling, Songs and lots and lots of FUN!
A sure sign of a great time!
