I feel like it has been FOREVER since I went hiking with the boys. I was too fat and pregnant and sick and in pain for so long. Then I was recovering from the c-section and catching up on some sleep and nursing the baby while Todd took the boys without me. And then it was summer. In Georgia. It was HOT. Finally we have had some AMAZING fall weather, so we headed to our favorite spot to wander around for the afternoon. It was the PERFECT end to the weekend!
I love their little backpacks!
Riley playing “Stop…Go…Stop” (mostly stop)
And Riley walking backwards. He loves to randomly just walk backwards and the way he announces it and narrates is so freaking funny. “whoa, whoa, I going backwards”
I suppose I should have put the camera down and helped them across, but Todd was adamant that I get pictures of them crossing. no really. I swear.
And once across, time to open up the backpacks…..what did we bring along? Blankies and grandma bear of course!
Finn playing with his shadow on the rocks!
The ergo can front or back carry. Since Todd carried him for the first part of the hike I thought I’d give back carrying a try for the second half! Worked pretty well, but I prefer him in front so I can snuggle him! And it was a good thing I took him, because not too far into our hike back to the car did Riley get tired and wanted to be ride back.
jazz hands!
