But before the smiles there was this….
and a little nibble
Two thirty-somethings having FUN being parents!
No official check-up this month. So I will just bombard you with more cuteness!
And he totally couldn’t move around in this thing, hysterical!
What have we been up to? Soccer, soccer and more soccer. Two games every Saturday morning!
The boys had team pictures!
And Riley’s team picture was on a day where only 4 players showed up, the coach wasn’t there and Riley refused to stand in the picture, so Todd looks like the team coach! Ha!
Some pictures of Finn playing another mom took!
Riley’s games haven’t been going as smoothly, but I did manage to get a couple of pictures.
Kellen comes along for the ride too!
Reading one of my fellow mommy blogs made me realize that I never shared this tidbit about Finn. My Proud Mommy moment!
When I picked Finn up from school one day, he was still upstairs in music class. While we waited Mrs. Crosby said to me: “I just wanted to tell you what a sweet and compassionate boy Finn is, Mrs. Lakes. Every day he gives me the biggest hugs and says that he loves me.” And then Miss Davis chimed in “He will sometimes come up to me out of nowhere, give me a big squeeze and say that I looked like I needed a hug.” and they continued to tell me that he always helps others in class, that if someone falls down on the playground he will stop to help them up and ask if they are OK. That is is always so polite, helpful and sweet!
Seriously, I could not have been more proud! I am always telling him that if someone falls down, whether we pushed them accidentally or not, that we need to help them up and make sure they are OK. This is typically in regards to Riley and I’ve never seen him do it without my prompting, so it felt really good to know that it is actually sinking in.
We’ve been going through a rough patch with Finn for the last couple of months. And while I wish he was behaving better at home, I do feel good that he is at least being well behaved in public! That’s the sweet boy Finn we know and love!
Our 4th year going to the pumpkin patch, our first as a family of five! I had three weddings back-to-back-to-back so we couldn’t go on a Saturday. When I first googled Berry Patch Farms to find out their hours, I was evidently looking at a Perry Patch Farms in Colorado that isn’t open on Sundays. Thankfully Todd did some searching on his own and we realized I’m an idiot (really I blame google, it should be smarter than that!). Unfortunately, about 10 minutes into our visit, the camera battery died. :( So no cute pics of the boys with pumpkins.
We did get a family shot with the not-so-giant pumpkin (its been way bigger in years past!), though the sun was obviously VERY harsh on half of us. :(
Finn wasn’t really interested in getting up with the other boys, so he got a shot by himself!
Hayride out to the pumpkin patch!
Finn talking to the man next to him about how stinky the tractor was.
And we got lots of pictures of the boys picking out LOTS of little pumpkins on our way to the big ones.
But Finn was more interested in running ahead to “pick out the BIGGEST pumpkin for daddy for his birthday…..”
While Riley is trying to load me up with mini-pumpkins.
Baby in a cotton field.
The Bigs encroaching on some other families pumpkin photo shoot. hahahahahaha
And two pics I had to crop to even find us….
and then the battery died. :(
We had some family pictures taken this weekend with Miss Stefanie and got this one little sneak peak of our little man!
I LOVE these jammies and I LOVE this little man!
And we busted out the little baby corduroy this week and Kellen flashed his first gang sign. Momma so proud!
