Father’s Day

We didn’t get to spend Father’s Day with daddy because we were in different countries!  But when we all got home, daddy had presents for the boys and the boys had presents for daddy!

Amazingly he still looks like a boy, even in pink pajamas!  Hair bows not so much, but pink jammies, definitely!

Hair cut tantrum

Oh, it isn’t what you think it is.  Something you most likely won’t hear in other households:

“I DON’T WANT TO GO TO THE POOOOOOOOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!  I WANT TO GET MY HAIR CUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

with lots of wailing and crying and tantrum throwing.

He’d been complaining for a week or two that his hair was in his eyes, all dramatic like trying to pull it backwards so it wouldn’t be in his eyes, “I need a hair cut momma, we need to go see Miss Lisa, she has Thomas the Train and a race car.”.  I told him I’d give her a call to make an appointment, evidently he is unaware of the proper procedures for scheduling a hair cut and didn’t appreciate waking from his nap to find we were going to the super fun awesome pool instead of his super awesome fun hair dresser.

Dance Along

When I posted about our members only night at the zoo, I totally forgot that I had a video of Finn dancing along with the DJ!  (yes this was before getting nailed in the face with the hoola hoop!)  I love how he is totally trying to dance along, not too shabby if I do say so….

Yogurt

I know, how many videos am I going to show with Riley eating yogurt?  I’m not making any promises I can’t keep.

All night, all day….

I think both Riley and Grandma could have done this All Night and All Day!

Sprinklers and Scooters

What to do when there is no pool?  Play in the sprinklers of course!

And then our cousins came by and brought their awesome scooters and we had a car wash!

Paddling a boat

Finn paddled his first boat!

First we had to pull it into the water, Finn is VERY strong as you can see.

And then it is time to paddle!

Trying to take a picture of Finn paddling the boat while trying to hold on to him and sitting right next to him in a very small boat will give you this kind of picture….

But another try and I got this gem!

Fishing!

First we’ve got to dig for worms!

 

Then a whole lot of other things happened to get to this point…

Grandma is a better woman than I…..

 

Now its time to fish!  (no hook for Riley, shhhh!)

Summertime in the woods

As I mentioned, we spent a week in the woods with Grandma and PaPa and we had the best time.  Here are some of the adventures, cuteness and FUN.

We played with frogs, we went fishing, we paddled a boat on the lake, we played in sprinklers and road scooters (more posts on those big events coming soon)…

Finn got to ride in the front seat of PaPa’s Jeep (just down the driveway!), and holy moly did that make his year!

We got the relax in a hammock

We took a walk in the woods

We played with Cha Cha!

We had our own music class on the back porch

We hung out with our cousins

And we made PaPa breakfast in bed on his special day!  Happy Father’s Day PaPa!

We read the paper with PaPa

And a special PaPa book

We had the best time and we miss you so much already!!!
