He talks in the third person. He learned his name a while ago and started talking in the third person then, but it still cracks me up. Only very recently has he started saying “I” but he still mostly says “Finn” and every now and then he throws in a “Finn Lakes”, gah!
"Finn do it!" "Finn do by self momma" are the two most popular phrases he says these days. This includes climbing into his car seat and an attempt at buckling himself in (don't worry, momma takes over on that part), putting his clothes on, taking his clothes off (and sometimes his diaper too), up/down the stairs, riding his bicycle (until he gets tired then it's "momma help"), brushing his teeth and the list goes on.
When he eats penne pasta, he sticks his fingers into the noodles to eat them.
He knows his ABC's and can count to 10 (actually he also just added 11, 12 and 13!)! Here is a bad video of him saying his ABC's with a mouth full of hot dog. Yes we're teaching him proper etiquette right from the start.
He loves to read and to be read to. "Read stories momma", will always stop me in my tracks, how can anyone say no to that?
Kisses Galore! He's always been a big hugger, he will hug you to death. But he's never been big on the kissing. Until now.....kisses, kisses, kisses! He will smother momma and daddy and baby Riley in kisses, our doggie Cha Cha, his girlfriends McKenna and Maggie, and even his stuffed animals/toys! He even makes a little “pop” sound! He also says “I love you” now.
He’s obsessed with shoes. He always has been but it still cracks me up. I just bought him a new pair of shoes for the fall last week and when I woke up Sunday morning I found him with sitting with daddy in a pajama shirt, a diaper and his new shoes, priceless.
He drinks out of a big boy cup now except when we’re on the go.
He’s been going potty on the potty for a couple of months now. He does it every night before shower-time and only recently have we started going throughout the day. Momma isn’t so sure she’s ready to fully go down this path just yet so we’re going along at a snails pace for the time being, but he gets super excited about it and shouts “HEY” every time he pees!
We say a prayer before dinner every night now, momma and daddy will say a line and he repeats it and when we get to the end he gives a big ole Aaaaaa-men, I must get this on video at some point because it is hilarious the inflection he uses!
