Finn’s 5 Year Stats!

FIVE!  Finn is FIVE!  I can’t believe it!  Although I am pretty excited to finally say he is five.  Every time someone asks me how old he is they are always so shocked since he is so tall, so I’m excited to finally be able to say FIVE!  Woohooo! 

I’m not going to lie, this year was kind of a tough year.  Some parents refer to it as the “effing fours”.  I think with Finn we dodged the terrible two’s, and even three’s.  But four hit us pretty hard and I completely get why they call it the “effing fours”. 

That being said, he still is the sweetest most gentle soul.  I get comments about what a sweet caring boy he is all of the time.  And he truly is.  We rounded the corner of the bad stuff in January and now I am his best friend.  It makes my heart soar!  He loves spending time with me, and holding my hand, and snuggling with me.  We have some of the best conversations, he is so smart, inquisitive, imaginative, clever and funny!

He starts Kindergarten in 2 weeks!

I took him to the doctor the day after his birthday and attempted to get the annual picture from him….this is what I got instead…

No shots this year!  Yay!  No more until he is 11, which is awesome after last year’s debacle…..last year he got 3 shots and was told they were the last ones until he turned 11.  Then the next day they called us to say there was a terrible mix-up and he was accidentally given an expired vaccine and we had to go back for him to get it again.  Nice.  Thankfully he was a rock star, but he kept asking over and over again “no shots this year, right?”  poor little man!  His hearing and vision tests were great, he’s gained 6 pounds and grew 3 inches this last year!
