ABC’s!

I have had this on my to-do list for almost 2 years.  I really wanted to start them with Finn when he was 3, and I just never got around to it.  But I finally just started it with Riley and he is LOVING it!  He LOVES crafts and he is really into learning his letters now that he sees Finn doing his homework.  I absolutely love this blog No Time For Flashcards, she is amazing, I love her crafts, her book recommendations, everything on her blog I just love.  She has basically given step0-by-step instructions for each letter, so I’m really just following along.  I love it and Riley is really loving it too!

A is for Alligator!

B is for Banana!  We also made chocolate covered bananas to go with it, YUM!

And so far we’ve also completed C is for Caterpillar and D is for Dragon!  I cannot wait to see our wall completely filled!

Brothers!

We have a HUGE couch, HUGE!  But they all sit on one little corner together and it is the cutest thing ever!

We have reached maximum limit on the bath tub.  We’re not going to be able to put all three in for much longer.  :(

And you can see here, Kellen does this lean-in thing now when I take pictures of him with people, where he leans in super close and looks at me and gives me a smile!  So cute!

Finn’s Most Awesome Award!

For those that don’t know the back story, just know that Finn couldn’t possibly have gotten a better award!  We were beyond proud, thrilled, excited, bursting with Joy when he pulled this out of his back pack!!!!

I tried to take a picture of him holding it, but man he is the worst blinker!

Good Job Finn!!!

Dragon Con 2012

I’m catching up on a major back log of blogging, so forgive me this is a few weeks old!  Dragon Con was AWESOME this year!  The boys were really into it and it was so much FUN!  I’ll post my favorites moments!

One of the moms took charge and made space for all the kids to come up front row and sit down together.  This meant I had to stand back and hope that the boys didn’t get scared with us not sitting with them.  Thankfully they did OK!

The parade begins!

I have no idea if this was a real “costume” or not or if these people just decided to jump in the middle of the parade but it made me laugh!

Tiny little Men In Black!

Spaceballs!!!

Stan Lee!!!  Everyone was going ape over this guy, screaming “Stan Lee, OMG It’s Stan Lee” and I was all “who is Stan Lee?”  LOL!  (Evidently he is the Spider Man creator in case you didn’t know either!)

The Bat Mobile!  The boys thought this was AWESOME!

Dean Cain, aka Super Man.  I did know who he was!

And here comes the super heroes that the boys do know!

And the Box Heroes!  Love them and I thought this picture of the Joker was awesome!

The boys talked about this for DAYS after!  Spiderman was crawling on the ground!  I don’t know if he did this for the entire parade but the boys thought it was the coolest!

“Captain Camerica!!!!”  This is what the boys always say and it makes me laugh.  I also love this picture because as you can see, not all costumes are created equal.  LOL!

How cool is this guy?

The boys loved this “Jeep”!

I really thought this was an awesome Hagrid!

Oh Glenda!

The Hunger Games!!!  Yes!

And the sideburns!  Dead On!

I will forever LOVE the Stay Pufft Marshmallow Man!

Who you Gonna Call???  Ghostbusters!

I have no idea what this is about but I think it is hilarious and a really awesome costume!

Lou Ferrigno!!!!!!!

This one is for me and all my lady friends!

The boys went nuts over this guy!  So many questions!  But how does he get down?  How did he get up there?  HOW???

And now we come to the part that finally scared the bejeesus out of Riley!

Zombies doing the Thriller dance without the music.  It was creepy awesome!

Riley:  Momma!!!  It’s Flash!  He’s on my underwear!!!

Riley waving his little hand to his underwear hero!

Back to the Future!!!

Speed Racer!

“As Youuuuuuuuu Wiiiiiiiiish”!!!!  Eeep!  this was MY favorite part!

This stroller was awesome!

Zombie Boy Scouts!

I’m a nerd.

Minds Blown.

Chewy!!!

Another favorite:  Storm Troopers!

The Weirdest Ending to a parade EVER.

Kellen Says….

Oh the pig one kills me….he always tries to make the snort sound of a pig instead of oink oink (he *might* have gotten that from me) and it is just precious!

It reminds me of this video of Finn!  I totally forgot about the gorilla, gonna have to get on that one with Kellen!

Riley’s 1st Goal!

Riley had his first game of the season on Friday night and scored 3 goals!!!  He was SO excited!

His reaction is priceless!

This league is indoors, as you can tell, and it is loud and there are alot of kids that aren’t 3 yet which meant there were alot of tears!

Kellen had a blast running around chasing balls and kicking a few goals himself.  I love this picture though, there were these two little dudes on Riley’s team that are 2.5 yrs old.  Now I know that Kellen is big but I have to guess these boys are also small for their age.

Riley is also the biggest kid on his team, but I think he might also be the oldest.  One of his school friends from last year, Cruz, is actually on Riley’s team!  What luck!

Warming up!

Ready for kick-off!

And then I turned the camera over to Finn and he took these pictures!  Not too shabby!
