Finn wouldn’t let me get a picture of just him, but I got this great team picture! Go Starfish!

When Efficient becomes Inefficient
We were running VERY late, momma and daddy had a date night and the sitter was coming at 630 so we were rushing through our routine to get the kids in their pajamas by then. We got Finn and Riley in the shower and before either one of us we could grab Kellen he took it upon himself to get in.

Kellen is 18 Months Old!
18 Months! 1.5 Years! I just cannot believe it. He is becoming less and less a baby and more and more a big boy every week and it makes me feel both proud and sad!
Look at how much he has grown! 1 week, 1 year and 18 months!
He loves books, balls, cars and snacks the most! He is an excellent climber! He’s got a great arm on him, definitely a leftie. He just got his 10th tooth, another molar, and these molars are painful and coming in painfully slow! He loves sitting in your lap and he isn’t fond of anyone else sitting in your lap. As far as he is concerned, it is HIS lap. He loves giving kisses and hugs. He loves to hang from the bars at the playground and in toddlercize.
He can kind of say Riley, though it sounds more like Lila. And he hasn’t tried Finn yet but he did say “big brother” the other day instead and I thought Finn was going to spontaneously combust he was so excited! He was so excited he even made sure to tell daddy later that night.
If I say “noses” to him, he rubs his nose against mine and gives me Eskimo kisses. I love this more than I can ever express.
Funny story….I sent Todd a side by side picture of the above picture of Kellen at 12mos and 18mos. He replied back “wow, same smile”. And it took me a minute, but I replied back and said “um, you know that is the same kid in both pictures, right?” No, no he did not. But his response is even funnier because then he told me that he thought the 12 mos picture was Riley. Now if he would have said Finn, I could have given him the benefit of the doubt because Finn and Kellen look so much alike. But Riley? No. LOL!
We got a new nurse in with us today for the check-up, and she was tasked with getting the measurements while the other nurse asked us the check-list of questions. So after we measure and weigh him, the new nurse hands me the sheet with the measurements and the percentiles. And I immediately look at it and notice that the height percentile was at 60%. While I do not at all remember what the weight or height or percentile of my children are, I did know that it wasn’t that low. So the other nurse re-measured him and sure enough, the first measurement was off by an inch (and now that I have the growth chart in front of me would have meant he shrunk!)!

Time Capsule
The boys broke a picture frame last week but I am LOVING what I found inside!!!!
From 2, to 3, to 4, to 5!!!
Baby-Proofing….
So every since we rearranged our living room in MARCH, this has been driving me INSANE. Kellen just likes to pull out all of the books from the book case….which then means we can’t open the door without having to pick them up and put them away. So I finally went to IKEA and found baskets to fit in the cubbies!
Before
After
So far the baskets seem to heavy for Kellen to pull out. I don’t give it much longer before he does figure it out, but for now it is blissfully organized! Yay!
The Tour Championship 2012
Thanks to The First Tee program that Finn is in, we were able to get free tickets to Family Night at the East lake Golf Course on Wednesday night! I took all three boys after we picked Finn up from school and we had a great time checking out the course. First there was a demonstration by a guy who did “trick shots” which the boys thought was awesome, then they had some boxed meals for us which we sat and had a picnic dinner with our friends and then we walked around the golf course a bit before heading home! We had gorgeous weather and so much FUN!
Desk Buddy
Everyone should have a desk buddy! If I sit down at my desk, Kellen comes and climbs up in the chair and sits behind me with his legs wrapped around me. It is THE BEST thing!
Oh how I love this boy!
Uncle Buzz
Our boys LOVE Uncle Buzz! Kellen can even say “Uncle Buzz” now which is the cutest thing, and boy is he completely in love with him. Uncle Buzz kept Finn and Riley for us when we had our night away and he took them to a festival and took a few pictures of them on this bungey thing and finally sent them to me!
And last week, we went to The Stoveworks Food Truck Wednesday’s for lunch (and popsicles!)!
Beep Beep, Working on A Jeep!
We are finally working on the Jeep!!!! Todd works with a guy who knows how to work on cars, so he came and spent the afternoon with us and worked on the Jeep. It isn’t working completely yet, but there is progress!!!!
The bigs “helped” while Kellen and I played around!
Hopefully I will have more updates to come and pictures/videos of us riding in the Jeep! Fingers Crossed!
Swaptember
Our weekends have been packed full of FUN stuff! One Saturday we became a family of 6 and then a family of 7!
First we watched Finn’s friend Eva after soccer and took her to golf with some front porch apple snacking first!
Next we kept our friends Alec and Aerin for the afternoon and over night! Their parents had watched Kellen over night for us a few weeks ago, so we were returning the favor! We took them to the East Atlanta Strut which was so much FUN! Yes, we did take FIVE kids with us to a festival!
Checking out the first band! Love how they are still holding hands!
Motorcycle Gang
Mini-Breakfast Club
And to the Kid Zone we go….ladies first….
and then bouncing in the baby bouncey thing that was WAY too small for these guys!
Making art
Walking back to the car
Wait that isn’t Finn back there! We had to take 2 cars to get there, so we split up the kids and changed it up from the way there and home.
Pizza dinner on the back deck!
And then story time! Aerin wanted to read with Kellen, so so so sweet!
And story time with the bigs!
Surprisingly they went to bed relatively easy and slept through the night!
