3rd Annual Lakes Halloween Spooktacular

 

Now on to the costumes, and our guests!

Finn as the evil professor Z!  Riley as Lightening McQueen!  Kellen as Guido!  Me as Sally and Todd as Filmore!  We asked the boys a while ago what they wanted to be hoping that if they chose they would be easier for all of us.  Finn immediately said Professor Z and Riley chimed in with Lightening McQueen.  Of course there isn’t a Professor Z costume, so I put the sewing machine to good use, and my iron!

And on to our amazing guests!  There were a lot more costumes I didn’t get pictures of, everyone really knocked it out of the park this year!

           

Riley took off his costume pretty early and just looked like a ninja.  Finn also took off his costume the second a friend walked in with an Iron Man costume on and promptly put his own Iron Man costume on and really has only taken it off this week to go to school.  But for the record, he was REALLY EXCITED about his costume for a whole week before the party and during until the friend showed up.  :)

Prepared

Recently, a friend of mine’s child fell down and lost some teeth which sent me into panic mode….I’m not ready for the tooth fairy yet, I am completely unprepared as to a game plan.  So I took it upon myself to do some etsy shopping and came away with these three little pillows!!!!

The seller had every color ribbon, so I was able to go with the colors I already use for each boy (yes, my boys are color coded, hahahahahaha).  Blue for Finn, Orange for Riley and green for Kellen! 

Pretty sure Riley is going to be the one to fall down and lose some teeth first, and now I’m prepared!  Now I just have to make sure I don’t lose the pillows before they lose their teeth!

Boobs and Bumps, Baby’s W and Z

We have quite a tradition going now that started the day before Finn was born, heading to Hooters for lunch with the girls and we call it the Boobs and Bumps lunch!

Pumpkin Carving

Pumpkin carving with small children is maddening.  They want to cut the pumpkin open.  I don’t want them losing any fingers.  They can use those stupid pumpkin carver knives that won’t harm the children, but their little hands really aren’t strong enough.  Alas, the pumpkins are carved and the boys had FUN!
