One Month Old and so on…..
Two thirty-somethings having FUN being parents!
I totally forgot about this video to go with his birthday post! I think it is so cute! Every time after we sing Happy Birthday, Riley always says a version of “and many more” and it just kills me it is so cute.
Happy Birthday Kellen!
Look at these chubby legs and long eyelashes!
He’s picked up a few new tricks in the last month. He can wave bye-bye and can even say it too! He can sign for milk and all done and he can say ball!
I took him in for his 1 year check up, he got two vaccines and it turns out he had an ear infection and then over the weekend we realized he is also allergic to Amoxicillan like his big brothers. :( He gained two pounds and grew two inches!

We had a big party for him on Saturday (pictures to come!) but we put on his little crown, sang him happy birthday and opened presents!
Kellen didn’t really want to keep the crown on, but Riley was so cute and tried to put it back on him and eventually just wore it on his own head! Riley LOVES hats, so it was like he couldn’t understand why Kellen wouldn’t want to wear it.
The boys picked out an Ernie doll, an old school rotary phone and some squeeky blocks and momma and daddy got him a spiky ball, ha!
Riley was/is obsessed with the phone.
And lastly, when Kellen was born, friends of ours brought us a bottle of champagne in the hospital. Long story short, we never opened it and I eventually decided it was to be saved for his birthday. So after the boys were all in bed, we savored the sweet and drank away the bitter! We couldn’t have made it through this last year without grandma and papa, so it was only fitting we got to share it with them!
What a year it has been! We love him SO much!
The boys started spring soccer! Finn is playing on the Rockets again and Riley is playing on the Shamrocks! They are both playing on Sunday afternoons on the same field!!!! That field is also walking distance from our house! Major score!
Riley is also on a team with a friend this season which I think helps! His first game he was totally interested in playing, and totally understood what he needed to do! He would still keep kicking and running after the ball off our field and onto neighboring fields, but he was very excited to play! A huge difference from fall soccer! Yay!
And Finn’s team has also grown so much and is playing so much better with each season!
And then we got to walk/ride home!
