Every Thursday night in September, we spent on the lawn in Oakhurst listening to jazz music, having a picnic dinner while the boys ran around with their friends. We seriously love our neighborhood!

Candler Park Fall Fest
The Candler Park Fall Festival is one of our favorite festivals in Atlanta. It isn’t over crowded like the 420 festival, has a great kids area and killer music. Todd took the boys on Saturday and I joined them for some FUN on Sunday! We ended up running into some friends and did some hill sliding!
I love little Kellen running down the hill after his ball, which he did repeatedly the entire time we were there! Boys slept good that night!
Precious!

50th Day of School Reading Challenge
Finn’s class has a reading challenge for this school year, 50 books for every 50 days of school. For the first 50 we had to keep a log and then cut it in to pieces and create a chain with it!
While we read LOTS of books every day/night, this had to be a book read by Finn. Reading hasn’t been super easy for Finn, but we finally found a topic and set of books that has been a COMPLETE game-changer and now he is excited to read every night and it is AMAZING to watch his progress!
So when we got to this point, he helped cut all the pieces and staple them together, we both could not have been more proud!
We even turned our chain in EARLY! Everyone who completed the books got to participate in a party!
For the next round, if they read a book every night in a month then they get a coupon for a free pizza and a big pizza party at the end of the next 50 days!

Fall Sports
Fall Sports is upon us again! This year Finn has signed up for Golf on Saturday’s and T-Ball on Sunday’s. We’re trying something new for Riley this year that I am REALLY excited about….Gymnastics! After 4 seasons of having Riley signed up for soccer and clinging to us the entire time instead of actually playing, I had enough. I’m quite certain that soccer is just not his sport and that he needs a different outlet and he needs something that is just his and he won’t be compared to his older brother by. I really wanted to do some kind of Martial Arts but it was impossible to find something that worked with our schedules. But Boys Gymnastics fit perfectly! We’ve only been one week but HE FREAKING LOVED IT!!!! I’m calling complete victory on this one.
And one of Riley in the yellow shirt jumping up and down on the trampoline, which by the way is his FAVORITE part!
We aren’t allowed in the gymnasium so it was really tough for me to get any pictures.
Finn is playing golf and tball again! He is a Durham Bull this year!
